Trainee Contracts Managers

We have an excellent opportunity for Trainee Contracts Managers to join our growing team and assist our Mechanical and Electrical Team Leaders on all construction projects.

The successful applicants will be responsible for;  Measuring Drawings and completing Take-offs, issuing Technical Submittals & RFI’s, organising Labour, organising Accommodation and Travel, assisting with selection of Sub-contractors and placing orders, assisting with Procurement, attending Site Meetings and shall be responsible for all quality procedures on site.

Essential Criteria

3rd Level Degree Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering related discipline or alternatively time served with ample experience on site. i.e Approved Electrician / Plumber.

Good interpersonal and team working skills, with evidence of problem solving ability

Excellent written and verbal communication

Excellent IT skills specifically MS office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)

Full Driving Licence

Prepared to travel to sites throughout UK and Ireland.

Desirable Criteria

Site Management experience.

1 years’ experience in a similar role (within the last 4 years)

CSR / CSCS Cards

Experience using Estimation Package (Contracts Master)

The successful candidate must be able to work as part as a team and to tight timescales as well as being able to work on their own initiative.

Experience of being a competent site supervisor on previous jobs required for an electrical foreman’s role.

Job Duties

Electrical foreman duties include: overseeing entire site operations, co-operating with main contractors, organising site sub contractors, supervising all site operatives, controlling orders and materials on a daily basis whilst ensuring to adhere to programme and completion date.

Mechanical Foremen

Have strong knowledge of installations, wiring and testing.

Be able to supervise site labour and order materials in line with site programmes of work.

CSR/CSCS Card.

Be computer literate.

Approved Plumbers / Plumbers

Be a qualified plumber to the latest industry standards and have extensive experience working on commercial and industrial sectors.

Have strong knowledge of installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal commercial and industrial buildings.

Be able to supervise site labour and order materials in line with site programmes of work.

CSR/CSCS Card.

Be computer literate.
